FACILITIES MANAGER IN A CITY LAW FIRM – £70,000 + Benefits + Bonus

A brand new role hot off the press!!  Our client is seeking a new Facilities  Manager to join their Chancery Lane office and administer the office facilities that are used by up to circa 800 employees. You will work closely with the facilities director to ensure that:-

  • Supplier management for all office suppliers/vendors: ensuring appropriate contracts in place, review of commercial terms (in conjunction with the Head of Facilities and General Counsel)
  • Maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment effectiveness and contracts • Monitoring of UK Health & Safety office regulations, including Fire Warden and First Aid Officer responsibilities • Act as a Fire Warden and H&S representative for the London office and coordinating with external H&S consultants
  • Monitoring of all outsourced contracts (including cleaning, couriers, stationery and office maintenance)
  • Ability to work in and streamline everyday operations in a hybrid workforce model and co-ordinate the online desk booking system
  • Planning and implementing internal office moves and resolving space/layout issues
  • Coordinate the Reception team and ensure the meeting room amenities are in each room and set up properly
  • Assisting Reception with the collection and delivery of couriers (local and international)
  • Monitoring printers and photocopiers to ensure paper and toner is replenished in a timely manner • Primary point of contact for all property related projects, liaison with landlords/building management, planning for future requirements
  • Business Continuity Planning.

To apply you ‘ll need;-

  • Previous FM Experience in a large organisation is a requirement
  • Previous experience of managing a team is a requirement
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal  Confident using MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Deliver a ‘can do’ and proactive approach at all times
  • Able to interact positively at all levels within a law firm and be a team player
  • Self-motivated and pro-active
  • Experience of co-ordinating office moves
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail and the ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion
