An established, high‑quality small, specialised law firm is hiring an experienced Finance Manager to lead the day‑to‑day running of its finance function.
This is a hands‑on role suited to a qualified or part‑qualified accountant who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, managing a small team, and owning the numbers end to end. The Finance Manager will oversee billing, WIP, cashflow, credit control, payroll and management accounts, while ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
The role
Manage and develop a small finance team
Oversee billing, cash management, and credit control
Produce monthly management accounts and reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
Act as a key finance contact for senior stakeholders
The person
Qualified or part‑qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Law firm accounts experience and knowledge of SRA rules
Confident managing core finance operations
Detail‑focused, organised and commercially aware
Legal or regulated environment experience a bonus
