A leading international law firm is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join its London-based team. The successful Risk & Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the firm’s risk and compliance function, with a focus on client onboarding, regulatory compliance and conflict management. This position offers exposure to complex, high-quality work and the chance to collaborate with colleagues across multiple international offices.
The role
As a Risk & Compliance Officer, your responsibilities will include:
assisting with the onboarding of new clients and matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies
conducting client due diligence, including KYC checks, AML reviews and sanctions screening
supporting conflict checks and the setup of information barriers
maintaining accurate and up-to-date matter information
monitoring client risk profiles and escalating any concerns appropriately
assisting with compliance reporting and audit preparation
supporting the wider business with regulatory queries and best practice guidance
About you
To be considered for this Risk & Compliance Officer role, you will ideally have:
at least two years’ experience in a compliance role within a regulated environment, ideally a law firm
strong AML and regulatory compliance knowledge
excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business
strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
